Showa Shinzan is located in Souchi Town, Usu-gun, Hokkaido, Japan. It is an active volcano that erupted in the early Showa era, hence its name.

The original height of the mountain was only 270 meters. Later, due to the continuous activity of the earth's crust, the height of the mountain increased day by day. It is still a growing "new mountain" and is classified as a rare rock tower volcano in the world. Geothermal white smoke can still be seen in the reddish-brown mountains. Nowadays, Showa Shinzan is already a quite mature scenic spot, with Mount Suzu Cable Car, Bear Paradise, Volcano Disaster Museum, Showa Shinzan Observation Deck and so on.
