Shirakawa-go Gassho Village-Takayama Jinya-Takayama Sanmachi Street

【Shirakawa-go Gassho Village】Villages with unique landscapes such as Shirakawa-go and Gokayama were registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites in December 1995 under the name "Gasho-zukuri Settlement of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama".

Lunch recommendation: Taste Miso Hida Beef on Takayama Ancient Street

【Takayama Jinya】Takayama Jinya was first built in 1615. Of the existing buildings, only the barn is from the time of its original construction. The other buildings were rebuilt from the original between 1816 and 1841. It has a long history of 400 years. In order to preserve the original flavor, the internal space configuration of the "Takayama Jinya" is restored according to historical records. It includes the interrogation room where prisoners were tortured and the bamboo torture tools, which are still the interrogation positions of the old times. In addition to the famous Kyoto Prefecture, Takayama City is probably the nostalgic city most highly praised by tourists. Known as "Little Kyoto", Takayama City has an elegant and quiet small town style and a charm that is even better than Kyoto.

【Takayama Sanmachi Street】The traditional Japanese style is preserved here, and the time goes back to show the style of the Edo period. The original-color ancient buildings and the elegant and quiet atmosphere show the traditional beauty of Japanese culture.
